Description:* From Rockd: Thickness from stratigraphic columns. Tradewater Fm (0-650') in southern Illinois (south of 40 degrees north latitude); Tradewater Fm (0-195') in northern Illinois (north of 40 degrees north latitude). The Tradewater Formation represents the upper part of the Raccoon Creek Group. The Tradewater Formation in southern Illinois includes, from oldest to youngest, the Reynoldsburg Coal, Bell Coal, "3rd and 4th Siggins", "Mansfield," "Casey," Rock Island Coal, Curlew Limestone, Delwood Coal, Murphysboro Coal, Mt. Rorah Coal, Stonefort Limestone, and Carrier Mills Shale, and in northern Illinois, only includes the Rock Island Coal.
